Covid-19 or we usually called Corona is the main topic in all media and awaited by everyone. From television, newspapers, radio, to mobile phones that we always monitor all the time the topic is almost the same. The Coronavirus Pandemic became a nightmare to society to live like a normal day. The corona transmission rates are very worrying for who did not obey the rules from goverment. The death rate which is also a frenzy makes people should carrying out the obligation in the house. This is made all activities limited, but we as human resources must maximize the work productivity and teaching and learning activities for students.

With the implementation of work from home or online classes where we have to communicate, work, and carry out activities as employees should through the online system at home. This has become one of the solutions to continue to implement healthy living and continue to run its obligations as an employee or student without having to leave the house in violation of government regulations. The implementation of this system certainly has a positive impact on the community to avoid the corona virus, besides that, work from home is also not immune from negative impacts in various aspects.

The Impact of work from home (WFH) in Coronavirus Pandemic

Beyond the pandemic, work from home becomes the desire of millennials because we have no time limit in terms of the attendance and flexibility of the employees themselves. They can save on costs for transportation and consumption. The company also does not need to think about benefits related to transportation or consumption for its employees. The general adverse effect of work from home is the lack of enthusiasm for work and study due to frequent miscommunication with people who are not even communicating. In addition, operational costs such as gadgets and internet availability are important. The quality of gadgets and internet networks determines the quality of the work and learning of the perpetrators of WFH.

Social and Culture

In social aspects, community organizations and campus organizations are most affected due to work from home. All events and plans are suspended in the interests of the community itself. The new normal implementation that is often discussed is also not possible for organizations to carry out their activities as before. The religious activity that was originally held almost every week is no longer a social activity that was a medium for people in a village. This concerns the social and cultural aspects in which the habits of the majority of Indonesian citizens are Muslims. Coronavirus which exists during the month of Ramadhan makes all religious activities such as awakening the people for sahur, Taraweeh prayers, and also Daul Takbiren (Madura culture during the month of Ramadan) replaced by jobs that are only related to gadgets where the level of mobility and intimacy is lower among individuals rather than communicating directly or face to face.

The many adverse impacts on society in the social and cultural fields, public health is the main goal of work from home during this pandemic. We can use this opportunity to get closer to The Lord God and give more time to the family at home.
